Most news outlets are saying that the decision from the BBC will be announced sometime today. It'd make sense since I believe he'd need to know whether to come in to work tomorrow or not.
So, who's taking bets?

I'm going with they let him go and the other two walk with him. Top Gear moves to Sky uninterrupted (with a different name for the show and the stig) and BBC makes a kinda watchable top gear with new hosts. That could actually be a really good thing.

Do they shoot Top Gear in the evening? Because if they don't filming has already been missed considering it's 6pm there now.

Seems kind of late in the day for the BBC to make an announcement being what, five hours ahead of the east coast of the US?

Good point. But apparently Clarkson himself made a comment yesterday that he expected a decision "within 24 hours".

Apparently, today's news is that it won't be today:

They're gonna let him of on the basis that the producer who it didn't think it was serious would be my guess. That said considering he turned himself in they might use this as an ideal opportunity to get rid of him.

I'm hoping the show will rise again on Sunday, April 5.

Jeremy will be fired. But in the last episode of the season, the Stig will remove his helmet and reveal himself to be Jeremy, who will tell us that this was all an elaborate prank.

Darnit. I was really hoping for some closure to all of this. I need to know whether I'll get my Top Gear fix or not....

Let it go, let him go. BBC don't want Clarkson anymore.
He's become what he makes fun of. He's a "brand," and he "adds value" to the BBC "product," and there will be an equitable "solution" to this and in the new "schema," BBC will become more "lean."
He's like Bob Knight or Mark Twain or Lou Dobbs, or Andy Rooney. Maybe even stepping into like Mel Gibson territory. They're slightly amusing, then they're egomaniacs, then openly hostile or violent, now edging past curmudgeonly into outright despicable, and finally just a liability with a faux cult sheen that will wear off as soon as the spotlight goes away.
It's too bad if May goes with him. And to Sky? Americans will never see these guys again. And is it me, or did this show not hit the bigtime until it was hypermarketed overseas?

They're not gonna let him go. This has just been one big PR move to get everyone paying attention to Top Gear more than they normally would and then they're going to release the highly anticipated LaFerrari vs. P1 vs. 918 test that I'm sure they told each manufacturer would bring in a new highest level of viewership or something like that.

I just hope they don't. It is his irreverence that I like. I wish I had a TV show so I could hire him to do the exact same stuff. I would write the apology letters on $100 bills. I'd even write with a little slope.
